The Abuja Schools Debate Competition is an annual intervention program by The Chen Teen and Youth Development Initiative organized in commemoration of International Children's Day. It serves as a platform to generate discourse, while promoting intellectual engagement and critical thinking among young adolescents (students) in Abuja, Nigeria. This initiative seeks to empower young minds, nurture their communication skills, and foster a culture of dialogue and debate among the youth.
Our Objectives
To commemorate the Annual International Children’s Day by providing a platform for intellectual engagement and expression.
To promote critical thinking, research skills, and effective communication among students in Abuja.
To encourage teamwork and collaboration
among participants through debate and dialogue.To create awareness about global issues pertinent to children and youth rights, education, health and well-being.
