Biography

BOLADELE MAPAYI is an enterprising, motivated and hardworking professional with a firm belief in excellence in service provision. She works well in teams and seeks to maintain equity, justice and fairness in all spheres. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, a Master’s degree and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife. She is a fellow of the West African College of Physicians (Psychiatry) and has specialized training in REBT (Albert Ellis Institute). She is a Senior Lecturer and consultant psychiatrist at OAU/OAU Teaching Hospital. She is an associate Lecturer and examiner with centers for gender in OAU and Ekiti, the center for child and adolescent mental health in Ibadan, Nigeria and the University of Johannesburg, SA. Her research interests focus on women’s and Adolescent mental health and gender-based violence.  She is an advocate for gender equity, women empowerment and a rights based approach to health interventions.
